SEOUL, Sept. 4 (Yonhap) -- Amid the series of confirmed cases of the coronavirus emerging among idol members, K-pop girl group IZ*ONE's An Yu-jin and boy band N.Flying's Kim Jae-hyun have also been tested positive.
Yu-jin was confirmed to be diagnosed with the coronavirus during self-quarantine, according to the idol's agency Starship Entertainment on Saturday.
Although Yu-jin was tested negative after being notified that she has come in close contact with a staff who has contracted the virus, the singer was tested positive after showing signs of a sore throat and fever yesterday.
IZ*ONE's Jang Won-young, who also sat with Yu-jin and the staff, was confirmed to be diagnosed with COVID-19 on Aug. 29.
N.Flying's member Kim Jae-hyun was also tested positive on the same day after three of his fellow band members announced to have the virus on Friday. The remaining member, Cha Hun of the five-piece act was tested negative.
As a result, N.Flying has confirmed that all but one out of the five members were confirmed to have the coronavirus.
Recently, the music industry has been on alert as a series of confirmed cases of COVID-19 within idol groups have emerged. On Sept. 2, five members of the seven-member boy group Enhypen were also confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus.
