SEOUL, Dec. 28 (Yonhap) --"Whether it's a good feedback or not, I read them all. I let hateful comments slide by, but I learn if comments are something I need to work on."
Actress Chae Soo-bin, who met with Yonhap News Agency at one cafe in Jongno-gu on Wednesday, said, "Not only is it fun to look at the reactions from people about my acting, but it also helps me to learn."
Chae plays Pyo Ji-eun, the manager of a PR agency for luxury brands in the Netflix original series "The Fabulous."
Although Pyo is having a difficulty dealing with bossy influencers, superiors who give overload of work, arrogant fashion magazine editors, and even rude clients, she overcomes those difficulties ambitiously with her passion in fashion.
Chae said she could relate a lot to Pyo who lives fiercely everyday.
"I am neither too energetic nor nosy enough to take care of my surroundings like Ji-eun. But I could relate a lot to how she gets her job done and have a hard time when things don't go as planned."
Chae said Ji-eun's line of "I am okay not being the main character. I am okay if people don't know what I am doing. Because I know how much I like my job" in the drama was the most memorable.
She said, "Because actor is a job that receives lots of feedbacks, I face various reactions from the viewers based on the works," adding, "I try not to become too happy or sad about those reviews, but the saying 'It's okay because I am doing what I like' comforts me a lot."
Debuted in 2013 through a play "His and Her Thursday," she will celebrate her 10th anniversary next year.
She said, "I can't believe I will turn thirty in just a couple of days while I still feel like 18," adding, "Looking back to my 20s, I want to say to myself, 'You have pulled it off well.'"
She made herself known to the public by playing Cho Ha-yeon in KBS drama "Love in the Moonlight" just a year after her debut, she actively worked at various stages and filming sites.
"I think the charms of acting in plays, dramas, and movies are all very different," said Chae, pointing out the differences.
The actor said, "In the play, actors practice same scenes numerous times to get in sync., and communicate directly with the audiences, which helps me with studying acting," adding, "I think that is why I like play and I want do keep doing them."
Chae Soo-bin, who has big and round eyes with kind image, said, "Although I am really thankful that viewers see me as very bright and lovely character, I want to show different image as an actor."
"While I have been playing bright, healthy, and brave roles, I believe that one day, I will find a work in which I can show a different side of me. Then, I will really do my best," said Chae.
