SEOUL, Dec, 21 (Yonhap) -- Actor Yoo Seung-ho and the member of the girl group “Girl’s Day” Lee Hye-ri have great chemistry in the new series “Moonshine.”

“Moonshine,” KBS 2TV’s latest Monday-Tuesday drama, which aired at 9:30 p.m., was recorded to be the highest with a viewer rating of 7.5 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, a rating research company on Tuesday.

The first episode, set in the alcohol prohibition period, charmingly portrayed the leading characters.

Namyoung (Yoo Seung-ho), an inspector who lives a principled life, and Roseo (Lee Hye-ri) who becomes the breadwinner of her family, well portray the strong personality of their characters and support the film.

Namyoung is shocked to see Roseo care more about making money to support her family rather than save face and Roseo isn’t pleased with Namyoung who patronizes her.

Namyoung and Roseo continue this destiny-like relationship after bumping into each other whenever something bad happens.

The two actors well-played the completely different characters and created tension and excitement in the series.

Yoo Seung-ho, who debuted as a child actor and appeared in numerous historical dramas including “The Legend” (2007) and “Queen Seondeok” (2009), showed great performance of a scholar from the country. Lee Hye-ri, who started as an actor with her charming role in “Reply 1988” (2015~2016), put her bright energy into her character’s behavior and tone.
