SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- A magician, a police, and a ghost. Those who never seem to fit in have united with MBC's new Saturday and Sunday drama "It's Showtime!" on the first episode broadcast at 8:30 p.m. on the last 23st.

In the production press conference on the 22th, producer Lee Hyung-min, introduced "It's Showtime!" as a "fun comedy drama with amazing actors well expressing their characters."

Also, he mentioned, "I hope our drama could be something like a well-made junk food. Though it is not luxury, our focus was to make viewers enjoy it comfortably and deliciously."

"It's Showtime!" is a story of a magician Cha Cha-woong (starring Park Hae-jin) and a passionate police Go Seul-hae (starring Jin Ki-joo) solving mysteries of an incident with cooperation of ghosts.

Park Hae-jin who played Cha Cha-woong, a magician who has the ability to talk with ghosts, said that "It is the drama that I acted most joyfully and honestly," adding, "You'll be able to see me, Park Hae-jin, as a human being."

"It's Showtime!" is also highly expected because it is Park's first return to MBC since he won the grand prize for MBC Drama Awards in 2020.

Jin Ki-joo, playing a role Go Seul-hae, explained the character that "Go Seul-hae is a warmhearted woman who loves helping people," further illustrating, "She tries her best to become a real police and is eager to solve every incident."

Jung Joon-ho, playing a ghost General Choi Gum, who protected Cha Cha-woong's family from generation to generation, will take charge of the drama's humor.

Jung spoke with assurance that "I dedicated myself to this comedy", adding, "It will be different from previous comedy actings that I've shown so far."

Also, Kim Hee-jae, starting his first career as an actor from trot singer, will appear as a role Lee Yong-ryeol, the youngest cop, and Jung Suk-yong, Ko Kyu-pil, and Park Seo-yeon will appear as ghosts who follow the main characters.
