Son Heung-min returns to practice with face mask

SEOUL December 17 (Yonhap) -- Photos of South Korean Football team captain Son Heung-min practicing with his mask on who has returned backed to tottenham hotspur after his participation in Qatar World Cup 2022, has been released.

Tottenham Hotspur has revealed series of photos of Son Heung-min participating in their practice with his mask on, with the caption of “Super Son” on their official social media account on Saturday.

Moreover, Tottenham Hotspur has revealed a short clip of Song Heung-min and his team members passing around the ball throughout the practice.

On November 2, Son Heung-min suffered the injury during Tottenham’s Champions Leauge win against Marseille therefore he went through a surgery to stabilize a fracture around his left eye right before Qatar World Cup kicked off.

Despite of his injury, South Korean football star, decided to participate in the Qatar World cup with face mask on helping South Korean National team to successfully pass through the qualification round and participate in the round of 16 in 12 years. Out of four matches South Korean team has participated in throughout the Qatar World Cup, Son Heung-min participated in all four of the matches fully.

Son Heung-min who has returned to South Korea after his matches against Brazil, took a short break and departed to England on December 13.

Later on Son Heung-min jumped right back to the practice of Tottenham Hotspur without any further delays.

Video revealed by Tottenham Hotspur featured Son Heung-min lightly running alongside his teammate Pierre Emile Hojbjerg without wearing his protective mask.

However during the main practice Son Heung-min wore the face mask in order to protect his injured part of his face, although it has been over a month since the athlete was injured, it seems like Son Heung-min is taking all the precaution before he steps back on to the field during the season.

Tottenham Hotspur will resume their season on December 26 against Brentford at “2022 – 2023 Egland’s premier league” which consists of 17 rounds of away matches.

Before they resume the season Tottenham Hotspur will participate in a exhibition match against French team Nice at Tottenham Hotspur stadium on December 22.
