SEOUL, December 29 (Yonhap) -- "The First Kim Kwang-seok Singing Competition" will be held on January 6 at the small theater of Hakchon Blue, located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, according to Kim Kwang-seok memorial foundation on Thursday.
The event is newly made from the previous event which was named, "Singing Kim Kwang-seok's song." Different from the previous event where the participants had to sing Kim Kwang-seok's music only, there is an additional part that participants will have to perform one song produced by themselves which is unreleased.
An official from the Kim Kwang-seok Memorial Foundation said, "We decided that it is time to make a new change in the format that we have been proceeding to continue the echo of Kim Kwang-seok's songs."
In this competition, 7 teams that went through the preliminaries will perform at the event.
