SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) -- K-pop juggernaut BTS has swept Japan's Oricon weekly streaming ranking for two weeks in a row.
The seven-piece act's second collaboration with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, "Permission to Dance," topped the weekly streaming ranking after recording 15.58 million streams between July 19-25, according to the latest chart released by Oricon on Wednesday.
"Butter," which racked up 13.42 million streams, came in second place. The song has exceeded 10 million weekly plays for 10 consecutive weeks since it entered the rankings on May 31.
The third place was ranked by another BTS song, "Dynamite." Although the song has been released for almost a year, it has recorded a high number of streams totaling up to 701 million.
BTS proved its power on last week's streaming chart, placing "Permission to Dance," "Butter," and "Dynamite" at No. 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
The superband also received several certifications for five of its songs from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
The Japan Record Association certifies the Silver award for 30 million, Gold for 50 million, Platinum for 100 million, and Diamond for more than 500 million streams of a particular song.
BTS received a platinum status for "Boy With Luv" while "Idol," "Film Out," and "Butter" obtained gold and a silver certification for "I Need You."
