SEOUL, Mar. 14 (Yonhap) -- The upcoming South Korean rom-com "Long-D," starring the budding actor Jang Dong-yoon and actress Park Yu-na as long-distance lovers, has been confirmed to hit the local box office in May, according to producer 12 journey Tuesday.

In the film, Jang suits up as Do-ha, who struggles between work life and the love he encountered for the first time in his life. He falls for Tae-in, an indie band vocalist which has been slated to be played by Park Yu-na. The two eventually start a long-distance relationship in their fifth year of dating, ahead of entering their 30s, with the help of today’s technology.

Scenes from the film will utilize the "Screenlife" technology, where the plot develops solely through digital devices, such as computers, tablets, and smartphone screens. Bazelevs, one of Russia’s leading film producers founded by the pioneer of Screenlife filmmaking Timur Bekmambetov and is known to have produced the 2017 film “Search” by applying its one-of-a-kind technology, is known to have participated in producing this high-tech rom-com.
