IU donates 200 million won for children and youths

SEOUL, September 18 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superstar IU has donated a total of 200 million won for pediatric patients and young people preparing for self-reliance on the 18th, to mark the 14th anniversary of her debut. 

 

According to her agency EDAM Entertainment's official social media channel, IU donated 100 million won to the Asan Social Welfare Foundation to support children and women with cancer and 100 million won to the Metropolis of Seoul Association of Child Welfare to support young people preparing for self-reliance. 

 

IU mentioned on her social media, "I hope this kind of heart will gather and bring small miracles to someone again," adding "All the time I spent with UAENA (IU fan club) for 15 years (14 years) has been my golden hour."
