SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- CL's agency, Vericerry announced on the 2nd that singer CL has decided to try animation dubbing through EBS 1TV's "Baby Shark Ollie and William," for the first time since her debut.
CL will be heard in the upcoming episode titled "The Seaweed Sway" and plays the voice of a character named "Sharki L." This character is the Korean version of the character Sharki B, which was previously voiced by the American rapper, Cardi B, for the American version aired this April.
From the planning stage, the production company, The Pinkfong Company, considered CL to play the voice of the character due to her honesty and splendid performance.
"Baby Shark Ollie and William," with the title of "Baby Shark's Big Show!" ranked first in viewer ratings on the first day it aired in the United States, and is a popular animation broadcast around the world, including England, Italy, and Australia.
In April, CL arranged a surprise reunion with 2NE1 at Coachella, a famous American music festival.
She will also be visiting foreign music festivals one after another, including the "MAIN SQUARE FESTIVAL" in France on 30th June and the "WIRELESS FESTIVAL" in Germany on the 8th July.
