SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- Singer Yim Jae-beum is making a comeback after breaking the long hiatus of 7 years.

"Yim Jae-beum will be releasing the song titled 'Consolation' from his seventh full-length album 'SEVEN,' on the 16th this month," his agency, Blue Seed Company announced on the third.

The new song contains a message of consolation to those who are enduring difficult situations alone in a dimly lit room, wanting to stand by their side at least when they are listening to the song.

"Starting with 'Consolation', the songs on the album 'SEVEN,' will be sequentially released with the complete album officially being released in the second half of the year," an official from the agency said,

Yim Jae-beum, who debuted in 1986 with the band Sinawe, has released numerous hit songs including “For You,” “Desire to Fly,” and “Scars Deeper than Love.”

After the release of the album "After The Sunset: White Night" to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his debut in 2015, he has not been active for a while, and is now preparing for a comeback after 7 years.
