SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- A drama based on BTS’ hit album 'Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life)' will go on a pre-sale next month.
Entertainment company Chorokbaem Media announced on the 27th that they will begin pre-sales of viewing rights for the drama 'Youth', co-produced with HYBE, starting April.
'Youth' is a second-hand creative content inspired by the album 'Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa'. Specific details have not yet been disclosed.
It consists of a total of 12 episodes, divided into three parts of four episodes each. Pre-sales of viewing rights for the entire drama will take place for a month starting from the first week of April, and the actual sale of viewing rights will begin from the first week of May.
'Youth' is challenging content distribution using Web 3.0 technology. Web 3.0 refers to a new form of internet network with decentralization and individual content ownership as its main features, including blockchain, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and metaverse.
Individual viewers who purchase viewing rights for 'Youth' come together to form a single platform.
'Youth' is a collaboration between director Kim Jae-hong, who directed the JTBC drama ‘Blooded Palace: The War of Flowers', and writer Kim Soo-jin, who wrote JTBC's ‘The Light in Your Eyes.’
Filming was completed in 2021, with rookie actors Seo Ji-hoon, Noh Jong-hyun, Seo Young-ju, Ahn Ji-ho, Kim Yoon-woo, Jung Woo-jin, and Jeon Jin-seo.
