Seoul Tourism Organization releases advertisement 'deliciouSeoul' featuring JIN and RM of BTS

SEOUL September 16 (Yonhap) -- First episode of the collaborative video created by Seoul city government and Seoul Tourism Organization advertising Seoul’s tourist spots featuring K-pop giant BTS' JIN and Rm was released through the official YouTube channel, "VisitSeoul TV."


Starting in 2017 superstar group BTS worked as a Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador, by participating in the official advertisement video of Seoul Tourism Organization, introducing the beauty of Seoul to global fans.

The advertisement featuring BTS’ RM and JIN are planned to showcases three unique videos including charms within Seoul starting with healing spots, perfect photo spots, and fine dining.

The first advertisement titled “DeliciouSeoul” showcased RM and JIN on a late night drive along the beautiful night view of Han River, after short drive both RM and JIN heads down to Seochon’s Sejong Village Food Street and enjoy their food.

According to the Seoul Tourism Organization, the scene where both RM and JIN enjoy the food from the Sejong Village Food Street, it featured funny conversation was an improvised conversation between JIN and RM.

Two of the remaining advertisements will be revealed on September 23, episode about healing spots, and on September 30, episode about perfect photo spots. Prior to releasing the full version of the advertisement, Seoul Tourism Organization released a teaser video on September 2 which exceed over 100 million accumulated views on YouTube within 2 weeks of its initial release.

Seoul Tourism Organization is showcasing billboard advertisements in time for the release of the video advertisements through 7 major South Asian countries along with Japan . Moreover, tourism of Seoul will be promoted through CNN, BBC, CAN and numerous major global media TV channels.

“By featuring two of the members from the K-pop boy group BTS, through series of advertisement we wanted to promote trendy Seoul to the audience” adding “I hope the advertisement will bring up Seoul Korea when they think of a place to visit after a long waited vacation or trip outside of their country due to COVID 19.” official from Seoul Tourism Organization stated their intention of creating the advertisement.
