SEOUL, Aug. 26 (Yonhap) -- “Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival,” Korea’s representative rock festival featuring various singers including the legends of popular music, is to take place online on the 9th and 10th of October, according to the officials of the festival.
The first line-up includes Lee Seung-hwan who is capable of a wide spectrum of genres and has a deep, appealing voice and Yoon sang who is known as the pioneer of electronic music and has been attempting experimental sounds.
Also, the festival has invited singers always welcomed in many festivals such as 10CM and Daybreak and ‘hot’ musicians of the popular music scene, Jukjae, Leenalchi, Adoy, The Volunteers, Silica Gel, Jeong Hong-il, Kim Sa-wol, N.flying, Method and Nerd Connection as well.
List of foreign musicians to perform by sending out recorded videos in their countries, has not been revealed yet.
The festival is the main event of Incheon Pentaport music festival, led by Incheon City and co-held by Incheon Tourism Organization and Kyeonggi Daily News (translated).
The event was also held online last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic but still accumulated around 78,000 viewers.
With an attempt to adapt various untact programs such as 360° VR (Virtual Reality) broadcast and commentary by a music expert, the festival’s official said that they are aiming to deliver live vividness to the online spectators.
