SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- Actress Kim Min-jung, who is currently starring in the tvN drama "The Devil Judge," is also in an exclusive contract dispute with her agency, WIP Entertainment.

Kim said on Tuesday that she had sent proof of her request to terminate the exclusive contract with WIP.

Kim claimed that she had demanded certain modifications on the terms of her contract ahead of its renewal in February. However, as the negotiations with WIP broke up in disarray, the actress's contract was not extended.

On the other hand, an official from WIP mentioned, "the contract would have been automatically extended after Kim's filming for 'The Devil Judge' ended in July. Kim's abrupt request to terminate the contact came as a surprise since there should be prior negotiations to be made."

However, Kim responded saying, "'The Devil Judge' started going into production last December, so this would mean I was working with WIP at this time. I haven't received some of the fees for my work in 'The Devil Judge' as well."

Kim Min-jung made her debut as a child actress through MBC's "Best Theater" program in 1990, and has been loved for appearing in many popular works including "New Heart" and "Mr. Sunshine." Kim is currently playing Jeong Seon-a in "The Devil Judge."
