SEOUL, Dec. 11 (Yonhap) — Choi Si-won, an actor and member of boy group Super Junior, has tested positive for COVID-19.

"Choi conducted a PCR test in order to participate in a scheduled event, however tested positive,” SM Entertainment said Friday. The singer was said to have completed his second vaccination in September.

“Choi Si-won immediately halted all scheduled events and is in self-quarantine. He will also not attend the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, where he was scheduled to appear as a presenter on Dec. 11.”

Other Super Junior members were also tested earlier and are waiting for the results. In addition, staff members who came in contact with Choi are also undergoing a COVID test.

On this day, filming for KBS 2TV's weekend drama "Young Lady and Gentleman” was also suspended due to a confirmed case of COVID-19.
