SEOUL October 04 (Yonhap) -- “We tried to break the boundary of Idol dance music and participated in the production in order to showcase our true self.” stated Lee Dae-Hwi.
South Korean boy group AB6IX will be making a comeback with their sixth mini album “Take A Chance” which incorporated their unique characteristics.
Through the online media showcase of K-pop boy group AB6IX the group described their objective as “We would like to showcase a genre only AB6IX can create.”
This will be AB6IX’s first musical activity in five months since they last released their fifth mini album “A to B” in May of 2022.
The title track “Sugarcoat” is a pop dance genre of music which describe the bubbly feeling towards loved ones by using the object sugar. AB6IX’s Lee Dae-hwi participated in the production and the lyrics along with producer robin so raise the quality of the music.
“Paranoia” which will be included within the sixth mini album is a synthesizer hip hop genre of music created by producing team Boombastic known for their track “Story of Someone I know” by San E, and “Two Lovers” by Davichil.
Within the sixth mini album “Take a Chance,” total of 7 tracks will be included starting with “Sugarcoat,” followed by “Paranoia,” “weightless,” “Complicated,” “Crow,” and more.
AB6IX debuted in 2019 with their debut mini album “B:COMPLETE”
Although the group originally debuted with 5 of the members including Lee Dae-hwi, Lim Young-min, Jeon Woong, Kim Dong-hyun, and Park Woo-jin, however in 2020 Lim Young-min was caught driving under the influence which led Woojin to leave the group. Therefore since the incident the group has been active with 4 members instead of 5.
“Although we are not the biggest K-pop boy group we would like to receive a feedback that we are capable of putting on a great show.” Kim Dong-hyun stated throughout the media conference of AB6IX’s upcoming 6th mini album “Take a Chance.”
