SEOUL, March 29th (Yonhap) -- At 3:53 p.m. on March 29th, a car was seen crashing into the main gate of the Uam Historical Park, one of Korea's historically significant cultural heritage.
A total of three people were injured including, one pedestrian and two passengers near the main gate and are currently being treated at the hospital.
Due to the shock caused by the crash, the main gate of the Uam Historic Park has collapsed entirely.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, keeping in mind the driver's old age (70s) and his inexperienced driving skills.
The Uam Historic Park is a place where the great Confucian scholar of the late Joseon Dynasty, Song Shi Yeol (1607-1689) studied and taught his students and was later built as a historic park.
The park still preserves the traditional Korean pavilion, Namganjeongsa, which is also regarded as Daejeon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Property No.4.
