GYEONGJU, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- Group BTS’s leader RM (birth name: Kim Nam-joon) drew attention by visiting the Gyeongju Expo Solgeo Art Museum, Gyeonbuk.

RM posted Park Dae-sung’s works including “Geumgang Waterfall” (translated), which were displayed in the Solgeo museum, on his Instagram, according to Gyeongju Expo Grand Park, Tuesday.

It was confirmed that RM visited the museum for about an hour from 2 p.m., on Feb. 5.

RM took a picture in front of Park’s works and stood up for a long time to appreciate them. The singer also finished watching the 10-minute clip about the world of Park’s works in the second exhibition room.

RM visited Park's exhibition held at the Insa Art Center, Seoul in August last year and posted a photo of his work on BTS' official Twitter account.

Artist Park, considered a master of Korean painting, received the Okgwan Order of Culture Merit in 2020, and this fall is the first Korean painter to tour around the United States, including the LA County Museum of Art.

Gyeongju Expo Grand Park will choose 10 people every day who visit the Solgeo museum and give them a postcard of the artwork RM left as a photo.

The BTS RM photo zone will be set up in front of “Geumgang Waterfall” (translated), where RM took a photo of his back, and a footprint sticker named “Artworks to see with BTS’s RM” will be attached along the singer's path in the museum, to attract visitors.

Park said, "I am grateful that BTS leader Kim Nam-joon, widely known to young people, visited the Solgeo Museum in person and was interested in my paintings," adding, "I hope this will help our young people pay more attention to Korean painting."
