SEOUL, Jan. 16 (Yonhap) – South Korean actress Kim Min-ha, who played the main protagonist named Sun-ja in Apple TV+’s Korean language drama “Pachinko,” has shared the glory of her work winning the Best Foreign Language Series at the Critics Choice Awards with every Sun-ja in the world.
During the Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday, the actress gave the honorable acceptance speech for “Pachinko” winning the Best Foreign Language Series, the first series she played in as the main lead: “To be here in this place and accepting this award for ‘Pachinko’ is an honor beyond all my expectations,” the actress said. “I would like to share my deepest gratitude and glory with every Sun-ja out there in the world.”
Sun-ja is the role she played in “Pachinko,” Apple TV+’s original series depicting the four generations of a Korean immigrant family during the Japanese occupation of Korea. The rookie actress added, “I will devote my utmost effort to grow into a multi-faceted actor who can deliver greater, more meaningful stories to more people worldwide.”

By bringing the 2017 best-selling novel written by Korean-American author Lee Min-jin to the small screens graphically and lively, “Pachinko” finally won the Award.
