SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Yonhap) -- The 15th Asian Film Awards announced Thursday that it has selected actor Lee Byung-hun as the winner of the Excellence in Asian Cinema Award.
The Excellence in Asian Cinema Award is given to those who have outstanding achievements with unique talents and have contributed to the Asian film industry and culture, and Lee was evaluated as showing an unrivaled presence with his wide spectrum of acting.
The Asia Film Awards is an award ceremony hosted by the Asian Film Awards Academy, established in 2013 by the three main Asian film festivals--Hong Kong, Busan, and Tokyo--to develop Asian cinema and will be held in Paradise for the development of Asian films, and will be held at Paradise Hotel in Busan on Oct. 8.
