SEOUL, Jan. 5 (Yonhap) – Lost Ark, an action-packed MMORPG developed by Tripod Studio and Smilegate, has garnered 3 awards at the “Steam: Best of 2022,” announced the largest video game digital distribution service and storefront Steam on Thursday.

Lost Ark has been nominated as the “Platinum” group, the highest rank, for the following three categories: Top Sellers, New Releases, and Most Played.
 

Games that were nominated as the “Top Sellers” refer to those that have made the most revenue; games in the “New Releases” category were nominated based on their first two weeks of revenue after launching; and the “Most Played” category includes every game that eclipsed 40 thousand peak players during the year.

While Lost Ark can be played in Korea only on Smilegate’s one platform “Stove,” it can be played in Steam in other countries including the U.S., Europe, South America, and Australia.

The thrilling action game exploring the epic lore of Arkesia has been acclaimed by video game players in western countries. In commemoration, the South American website dedicated to video games “MMORPG.COM” had Lost Ark nominated as the “Players’ Choice of the Best Action RPG of the Year” in 2021.
