SEOUL, October 9 (Yonhap) -- The 27th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which has opened normally in three years, was crowded with audiences enjoying the festival and citizens enjoying the festival during the weekends.
 
The Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan, held various side events such as outdoor stage greetings and open talks on October 9, and audience were cheering everywhere. 
 
Starting from 1 p.m. on the outdoor stage of BIFFXGENESIS, stage greetings for the movie "Anchor" starring actor Chun Woo-hee was held, and stage greetings for the movies "Storyteller" and "Next Sohee" were held afterwards.
 
Filmmakers and audiences had time to communicate during the open talk for the movies "Open the Door" and "Highway Family."
 
The movie cinemas around Centum City, where the selected movies are screened, were crowded with audiences enjoying the film festival for the first time in three years.
 
Visitors at "BIFF EVERYWHERE" being held at the Haeundae Event Square, Busan Citizens Park, and more starting at 5 p.m. will immerse the audience in the charm of the movie on an autumn night. 


BIFF EVERYWHERE is a program where the entire village of Busan is transformed into a venue for the film festival, a "Village Filmmaking Project."


The program is held at 16 spots around Busan. 


For the first time in a while, Nampo-dong and Jung-gu, where the Busan International Film Festival began, was also crowded with movie fans. 


Different events where film makers and the audience meet each other will also be held at the Daeyoung Lotte Cinema at the BIFF Square outdoor stage. 


Lee Jin-soo (47), visiting the Busan International Film Festival for the first time in three years, said, "I am currently having a meaningful holiday because I am at the film festival after a long time, even though the festival doesn't feel the same as before the COVID-19 pandemic."
