Nami Island is a popular destination among tourists and Koreans, specially in the fall season. However, not many people know where the gingko leaves come from. There is a whole movement and man work behind the maple scenery, and that is: recycling. Every autumn, about 20 tons of ginkgo leaves are moved from Seoul to Nami Island. While the leaves can be wasteful and inconvenient in the streets of Seoul, the same leaves can bring happiness and beautiful memories to Nami Island.
