Why South Koreans now dislike China more than Japan

You only need a passing knowledge of Korean news to realize that there are still some pretty major obstacles in the way of positive relations with Japan. Yet, when it comes to popular opinion of neighbors, the shadow cast by Japanese colonial rule has recently been eclipsed by a bigger issue – anti-China sentiment. Multiple surveys show South Korean respondents feeling more negative about China than Japan. So, what’s going on?
