SEOUL, May 31 (Yonhap) -- The popular
action series "Fast and Furious 9" has been at the top of the local box
office for two weeks.
According to the Korean Film Council on the
31st, "Fast & Furious 9" topped the box office last weekend,
attracting 360,000 viewers for three days between May 28-30.
Since the movie's release on the 19th, the
number of viewers has accumulated to 1.749 million.
The Disney crime comedy film
"Cruella," starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, was ranked second
with 224,000 viewers. "Pipeline," a crime entertainment film directed
by S.Korena director Yoo Ha ranked third among the movies with 57,000 viewers.
The Japanese animation "Poupelle of
Chimney Town" and the science fiction film "Voyagers" were also
released on the same day and ranked in the top 10.
The total number of viewers who visited the
theater over the weekend was 747,000, similar to last week's figures (749,000).
