SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- The winner of JTBC's audition program for 'forgotten' singers, "Sing Again," Lee Seung-yoon will release a new song next week.
Lee Seung-yoon will release his new song
"Wanted to Play for you (tentative title)" on June 22. This is the
first new song released by Lee Seung-yoon since he participated in "Sing
Again," according to Show Play Entertainment on Friday.
The upcoming song combines refreshing band sounds and addictive guitar riffs. The
band Alary-Kansion, which Lee is part of, participated in the song as well.
The new song marks the beginning of Lee's solo career after being part of Alary-Kansion.
Earlier on, Lee mentioned, "We gathered
together in the first place in order to improve our music. However, now that we
want to achieve our own sounds, we thought it would be most ideal to split up
and begin a new start individually."
Lee then expressed his unwavering affection, saying, "My members and I
have become so close over the years and I will support everyone by being the most
important music colleague and friend."
Lee Seung-yoon rose to stardom during "Sing Again" by performing an
unconventional performance with his original interpretation of songs in each
competition. He has signed a management contract with Showplay Entertainment
and has appeared on JTBC's follow-up music program "Famous Singers."
