Han Chae-young cast as the leading role of IHQ's opening drama 'Desire'

SEOUL, June 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Han Chae-young has been cast as the leading role in the opening drama "Desire (tentative title)," announced IHQ on Thursday.

Han Chae-young plays Han Chae-rin, a CEO of a beauty company who possess both wealth and beauty. In the drama, when Han Chae-rin comes across a man who she falls in love, she is willing to do whatever it takes to win the man's heart.

Han Chae-young, who is returning to the drama scene after two and a half years, will be working with actor Lee Ji-hoon in the upcoming drama.


"Desire" will be made by Korean drama production company Victory Contents, which also produced "Something Happened in Bali," "War of Money" and "River Where the Moon Rises."

Producer Kwak Ki-won who directed dramas such as "It's My Life" and "Two Mothers" will be in charge of directing, while the scripts will be written by Park Gye-hyung, the writer of "It's My Life."

The first episode will reportedly air in the second half of this year.
