SEOUL, May 3 (Yonhap) -- Sam Burns (25, U.S.A.) has won his first championship at the PGA Tour Valspar Championship (total prize money of $6.9 million).
Burns tied six birdies and three bogeys for a 3-under 68 in the final fourth round of the tournament held at Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course (par 71, 7,340 yards) in Palm Harbor, Florida, on the 3rd (Korea time).
Burns, who recorded a total of 17-under 267, won the tournament by beating Keegan Bradley (US, 14-under 270), who competed for the championship, in second place by three strokes. The prize money is $1.242 million.
It was Burns' first win on the PGA Tour in October 2017. Burns won the Conperry Tour, a second-part PGA tour, once in 2018.
