SEOUL, July 6 (Yonhap) -- As the summer season begins in July, numerous upbeat songs that suit the hotter weather are starting to pour into the K-pop music scene.

Girl group Brave Girls, who succeeded in seeing immediate positive responses this time with their new song "Chi Mat Ba Ram," will drop a piano version of "Summer by Myself"," a song from their fifth mini album "Summer Queen" on the 9th.

"As a gift prepared by Brave Brothers for Fearless (Brave Girls' fandom), the piano melody and the soft sentiment of the members will harmonize and provide a different charm from the original song," Brave Entertainment said on Tuesday.

The original version of "Summer by Myself" is a dance song about the excitement of a woman who wants to confess her feelings the person she loves. The lyrics "Even if the summer has come, even if the night where we can't take off our masks" also reflected the current pandemic which added a sense of uniqueness to the song.

Along with Brave Girls, singer-songwriter Ha:tfelt (real name Park Ye-eun) will release her new single "Summertime" on June 14. This will be the first song released in 10 months since Ha:tfelt released the single "La Luna" last September.

Ha:tfelt previously posted a live video of herself singing the sunset version of "Summer Time" on YouTube, announcing the release of the new song.

In the video, the singer sits on grass as the sun is slowly setting and sings calmly using only microphones and speakers. Unlike any typical summer song with a lively and exciting atmosphere, the lyrics were calm and somewhat sad.

Amoeba Culture, the solo singer's agency, posted one photo of a bright swimming pool and another photo which showed a rainy window to signal the upcoming single.

South Korean duo group Mind U will also release its new song "Hello, Summer Night" featuring acoustic guitar sounds on July 6.

"Hello, Summer Night" is a song depicts the feeling of walking with someone you love on a summer night, and consists of a simple yet addictive melody, according to the duo's agency Starship Entertainment.

K-pop boy group Super Junior's Kyu-hyun released his new song "Together" the previous day as part of his "2021 Project: Gye", where he releases songs every season.

"Together" is a cool pop rock genre song written and composed by hit maker KENZIE.

Rapper San E and girl group After School's Raina also released a remake version of their hit song "A midsummer night's sweetness" the previous day. The song has been receiving positive responses as it ranked in the top 20 on Genie Music's real-time chart as of 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
