SEOUL, June 14 (Yonhap) -- Action video
game "Diablo II: Resurrected" developed by Blizzard Entertainment will
be released around the world on September 24.
"Diablo II: Resurrected," is a remaster of Blizzard's masterpiece action role-playing game "Diablo II" and expansion pack "Diablo II: Lord of Destruction" with 4K resolution and Dolby 7.1 surround sound. A 27 minute video was made and included in the game.
"Diablo II," which was released
as a PC game in 2000, was ranked 21st in U.S. weekly magazine Time's "50
Best Video Games of All Time" list in 2016.
Blizzard Entertainment reported that it has
worked on the feedback received from users such as expanding storage space and
automatic acquisition of gold coins, while preserving Diablo II's unique game play
and system.
For users who reminisce the original
version of the game, Blizzard Entertainment has developed a way for users to
freely move back and forth between the latest and original graphics.
"Diablo II: Resurrected" can be
played on both PCs as well as games consoles including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo
Switch. There will also be a function to share the user's progress, which can
be enjoyed with one's game characters and items regardless of the platform.
The price of the exclusive package is
48,000 won while the "Diablo Prime Evil Collection" which includes
the "Diablo III" expansion pack costs 72,000 won.
The users who make a pre-order purchase can
participate in the open beta test which is scheduled to take place in August.
