SEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) -- EXO, a nine-member boy group with some members still serving in the military, will release a special album "Don't Fight the Feeling" on the 7th, according to its agency SM Entertainment.

In addition to Xiumin, Lay, D.O., Kai, and Sehun, the album has been produced by a total of seven people, including Chanyeol and Baekhyun, who recently joined the army. Chen and Suho, who joined the military last year, did not participate.

The album has received positive responses from fans, with 1,221,181 pre-orders until yesterday. This is the largest pre-order record achieved by EXO.

"Don't Fight the Feeling" is EXO's first album to release after its sixth full-length album, "OBSESSION," and contains five songs, including the title song with the same name.

The title song is a cheerful dance song with a synthesizer and base sound, and conveys the message to believe in one's beliefs and run freely at the moment of choice.

Besides the title track, "Paradise" is a song that wittily expresses the feeling of falling in love while "No matter" has a retro atmosphere. Additionally, "Runaway," a R&B pop genre song with impressive harmony, is featured in the album.

EXO plans to open an online VR exhibition on June 15 to commemorate the release of its special album. Contents related to the album such as unreleased photos and behind-the-scenes videos will be provided free of charge through the U+VR app.

Earlier on the 1st, they introduced EXO-SHIP SAGA, a shooting game with a space background, while using the concept of their new album as well.
