S. Korea's 1st nanosatellite launched

This photo, provided by the science ministry, shows a rendering of a satellite constellation, which South Korea plans to establish with its homegrown nanosatellites by 2027. To that end, named the "Beginning Of The Swarm," the country's first homegrown Earth observation nanosatellite NEONSAT-1 was successfully launched aboard a lightweight Electron orbital rocket of Rocket Lab, a U.S. aerospace manufacturer and launch service provider, in Mahia, New Zealand, at 7:32 a.m. on April 24, 2024.
