SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) --A concert will be held to commemorate the International Jazz Daydesignated the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The Korea Jazz Association announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 2021 "World Jazz Day" eve performance at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th (KST) at the Jazz Park at the Textile Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

UNESCO designated April 30 as "World Jazz Day" every year to promote the value of jazz, a cultural intangible heritage of mankind.

This eve performance will feature a large number of Korea's leading jazz vocalists, including WoongSan, Malo, and Lee Jung-sik, and one can meet the first jazz ensemble that encompasses the first to third generation active musicians in one place.

The association said, "The first generation of jazz legend who attempted the great birth of Korean jazz, the second generation of jazz gods recognized by the world, and the third generation of rising Korean jazz stars will showcase special performances that encompass the past, present and future of Korean jazz."

"It will be a meaningful stage to check the current status of Korean jazz and confirm the blueprint of the future," said Ungsan, chairman of the Korea Jazz Association.
