SEOUL, May 5 (Yonhap) -- San Diego Padres Korean infielder Kim Ha-sung, who started for two consecutive days, played a no-hit game.
Kim Ha-sung played as the eighth batter and shortstop in the U.S. professional baseball home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Petco Park in San Diego, California on the 5th (KST) and finished the game without a hit in three at-bats.
His batting average for the season fell to 0.211 (12 hits in 58 at-bats), with the Padres losing 1–2.
Kim Ha-sung stepped down with a right fielder fly ball in the second inning, a center fielder fly ball in the fifth inning, and a grounder to third baseman in the seventh inning with one out.
San Diego was tied to the Pittsburgh mound with just four hits.
