SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- Actor Ma
Dong-seok will appear as a character for the newly released online multiplayer
game "PlayerUnknown's Battleground" on the 7th, according to the
actor's agency Big Punch Entertainment.
Prior to the game's launch, the trailer, which was released the previous day,
drew attention as a character resembling Ma Dong-seok appeared and was seen
fighting a gunfight after falling high from a plane.
Ma Dong-seok previously appeared in the game company Krafton's short film
"Ground Zero" and raised the possibility that he could appear as a
character in the game.
"Ground Zero" is a nine-minute film released on YouTube on June 26
and has recorded 1.85 million views so far. The film is based on PUBG UNIVERSE,
a collective story of Battleground, and depicts the riot at Hosan Prison in
1983.
