SEOUL, May 11 (Yonhap) -- Popular K-pop groups with strong global fandoms are expected to release their albums in early June, signaling a craze in the music industry.

Boy group EXO will release their special album "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING" on June 7th, according to the band's agency, SM Entertainment, on the 11th.

It is the first new album to be dropped in about a year and a half since their sixth full-length album "OBSESSION" was released in November 2019. The upcoming album is already gaining attention as it is the first album released by EXO after some members left to serve the military.

SM Entertainment mentioned, "Fans will be able to enjoy the music like a present made by EXO members." Preorders for the album will begin at various on and offline music stores on the 11th.

EXO, which recorded mega hits on every album they've released, recently focused on unit or solo activities as members Suho, Chen, Chanyeol and Baekhyun are currently serving in the military.

JYP Entertainment's girl group, TWICE, who have also showed off their popularity by creating hit songs, will also make a comeback with a new mini album early next month.

They will pre-release the title track and music video of their 10th mini album "Taste of Love" on June 9th and officially release the album at 1 p.m. on June 11th.

After TWICE's second full-length album, "Eyes Wide Open," which was released in October 2020, ranked 72nd on the 'Billboard 200' chart, many people are turning their attention to see how the new album will succeed.

Earlier this month, TWICE released a teaser image that portrayed a cool summer atmosphere with colorful fruits and cocktails, hinting the mood of the new album. The girl group also reportedly finished filming a music video in Jeju Island.

Boy group Monsta X, who have a stable global fan base, will also make a comeback with their ninth mini album "One of a Kind" on June 1st. It is their first comeback in Korea since their third full-length album "Flavors of Love" was released in November last year.

Monsta X recently released their third full-length Japanese album, "Flavors of Love," which ranked No. 1 on Oricon's Daily Album chart and topped the Tower Records's weekly chart.

The boy group will release a series of track lists, concept photos, and music video teasers to hype up their comeback.
