S. Korea posts record July current account surplus

Containers waiting for export are stacked at a pier in Pyeongtaek, south of Seoul, on Sept. 4, 2025. South Korea logged the largest current account surplus for any July, driven by solid exports and an increase in income from equity, according to data compiled by the Bank of Korea. During the reported month, the country's current account surplus reached US$10.78 billion, extending its surplus streak to a 27th consecutive month. (Yonhap)
