Anniversary of defending Dokdo from Japan
Patriots and Veterans Affairs Minister Kang Jung-ai delivers a speech during a ceremony at the National Cemetery in Daejeon, some 140 kilometers south of Seoul, on Nov. 21, 2024, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the day the Dokdo Volunteer Forces defended South Korea's easternmost islets from Japanese invasion.
