Financial markets to hold year's final trading session on Dec. 30

SEOUL, Dec. 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's stock exchanges will be closed on the day before the start of next year, the bourse operator said Tuesday.

The country's main and tech-heavy secondary stock markets will hold their final trading session on Dec. 30, according to the Korea Exchange.

The first trading session for 2025 is scheduled for Jan. 2.

The opening, however, will be delayed by an hour to 10 a.m. due to ceremonies. The markets will close as usual at 3:30 p.m.
