SEOUL, May 12 (Yonhap) -- S.Korean co-ed rock band OurR has
returned with a new album after almost a year and a half.
According to Happy Robot Records, OurR released their second
EP (mini-album) "can't" on Wednesday at noon.
Following their previous album "I," the new album is
filled with tracks that contain autobiographical stories of vocalist Hong
Da-hye.
Hong Da-hye mentioned, "I worked on this album based on
two keywords: contradiction and expectations," adding, "I wanted to
express the feeling I felt when faced with realities that contradicted to my
expectations."
A total of six songs with strong individual characteristics
were included in the EP such as "Bird," "Green,"
"MUNG," "Well," "Citronella," and
"20+4."
OurR debuted with their single "Desert" in 2018,
and officially began its career by performing the opening stage at Boy Pablo, a
Norwegian singer's concert in Korea.
The band gained popularity among overseas fans by
participating in The Reeperbahn Festival, held in Germany, and selling their
LPs in Japan.
OurR consists of vocalist Hong Da-hye, guitarist Lee Whoiwon,
and bassist Park Jinkyu and some of their most popular songs include
"haaAakkKKKK!!!", "We will probably be lonely tomorrow",
and "circle."
