South Korea becomes first Asian country to host key UN peacekeeping forum

The 2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial begins its two-day run in the South Korean capital today. This is the first time the high-level forum’s being held in Asia – and 30 years since South Korea became a member of the United Nations. Just a few days ago we confirmed that this would be a virtual meeting due to the pandemic, but that won’t diminish efforts to strengthen the world’s commitment to peace in conflict zones.
