Actors Shin Min-a, Kim Woo-bin tie knot in private wedding

SEOUL, Dec. 20 (Yonhap) -- Celebrity couple Shin Min-a and Kim Woo-bin were married Saturday in a private ceremony attended by family members and close friends, according to people close to the actors.

They announced their wedding last month after about a decadelong public relationship.

The couple is known for having weathered significant hardship together, particularly after Kim, now 36, was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017. He made his comeback in 2022.

Ahead of their wedding, the couple donated 300 million won (US$202,600) to several charitable organizations supporting the underprivileged, their agency said.

Shin, 41, made her debut as a teen magazine model in 1998 and rose to prominence in her acting career across film and television. Most recently, she starred in Netflix's mystery thriller "Karma."

Kim also launched his career as a model in 2008 and has since appeared in numerous shows and films, with his latest starring role in Netflix's Korean original series "Genie, Make a Wish."
