Choi vows support for young entrepreneurs in emerging industries

SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- Acting President Choi Sang-mok pledged Wednesday to support young entrepreneurs working in cutting-edge technologies, calling their generation a "game changer."
Choi made the remarks during a luncheon with nine young CEOs of venture firms and startups specializing in advanced industries, such as artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving and biotechnology.
"The government will provide comprehensive support at all levels," Choi said.
He highlighted the role of emerging technologies and industries in driving economic growth and boosting productivity, stressing the importance of the younger generation in shaping the nation's future.
"The challenges faced by young entrepreneurs in these fields go beyond individual success, and they represent the strength that can transform the future of the Republic of Korea," he said, referring to South Korea by its official name.
