Sruong Pheavy, a Cambodian-born billiard player, is the No.1 three-cushion carom player in Korea and the world’s No.2.

Pheavy grew up as a young farm girl at her parent’s potato farm in her country. She wanted to become a doctor, but her family was so poor she had to give up her dream. However, after she met her 28-year older Korean Kim Man-sik, her life has changed.

After around two years of training in Korea, she took second place in an amateur competition in 2013, and now, she’s the runner-up on the world ranking and regarded as one of the faces of Cambodian sports. We hope you guys enjoy her story.
