SEOUL, June 24 (Yonhap) --Singer-songwriter HUNJIYA released the single, “Favorite & TALK2ME!" announced PAIX PER MIL on Thursday.
HUNJIYA, a Korean-American, has been making music with the theme of self-discovery since high school. In 2019, she was also included in the list of “Artists to Watch” by British Vogue.
Producer millic, who made his name through the Mnet rap contest program “Show Me the Money,” noticed the talent of HYUNJIYA and suggested working with him at PAIX PER MIL, a label that he founded.
HYUNJIYA’s first single released in Korea will contain two songs.
The first song, “Favorite,” is an R&B song about finding one’s complete self after a breakup. Another song “TALK2ME!” depicts the confusion that Korean Americans face due to cultural and language barriers.
On July 13, HYUNJIYA will also be releasing a mini album.
“As much as it is an album about having a lot of different sides in one self, I hope that the listeners will be able to discover a part of their inner self that they did not know (alone),” said HYUNJIYA.
