SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- Rookie girl group TUIDE will officially debut with its first EP, "TUNE & PLAY," at 6 p.m. on Aug. 24, its agency ABD said Monday.

ABD is a new label under HYBE, and TUIDE is the first group to debut under the label.

The seven-member group consists of Seo Hee, Seo Yeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Sea and Lee Ha-nee. The members, born between 2006 and 2011, come from diverse cultural backgrounds, including South Korea, the United States, Britain and Japan.

TUIDE unveiled photos and videos introducing its members through its official social media accounts Sunday.

"With each member's distinct individuality and multinational synergy, the group is expected to bring a fresh source of enjoyment to global music fans," ABD said.

The group's name is derived from the phrase "Tune the tide," reflecting its aspiration to harmonize different flows.

Han Sung-soo, the master professional who has overseen the discovery and development of K-pop acts such as SEVENTEEN, After School, IZ*ONE and TWS, served as the group's executive producer.

The debut EP, "TUNE & PLAY," embodies the group's vision of harmonizing different musical languages into a single rhythm ("TUNE") and maximizing the joy ("PLAY") found within that process.

Ahead of its official debut, TUIDE held a preview event at Layer Studio 11 in western Seoul on Aug. 1-2, where it performed all of the tracks from the album.
