SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, will hold the second "Last Night of October, Gaps and Beer Party with Gaptori" festival on Oct. 30-31 at Beer Port in Haemang-dong, the city government said Tuesday.

The event pairs cuttlefish, one of Gunsan's signature seafood products, with locally brewed craft beer, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy the atmosphere of an autumn night by the sea along with local food and cultural performances.

Visitors will be able to sample a variety of cuttlefish dishes and snacks as well as more than 20 types of craft beer from Gunsan.

Acoustic busking performances will also take place throughout the event to add to the romantic atmosphere of the autumn nights.

Discounts will be offered to visitors. All craft beer products will be discounted by 10 percent during the event, while vacuum-packed cuttlefish products will be sold at discounts of up to 30 percent, allowing visitors to enjoy and purchase a variety of local foods at reasonable prices.

The event will also feature a range of hands-on programs, participation events and prize drawings.

"Gap-Beer Party is a special event where people can enjoy the appeal of Gunsan's signature cuttlefish and craft beer in one place," Lee Seong-won, head of the city's fisheries policy division, said. "We hope the event will raise awareness of Gunsan cuttlefish as a brand and lead to increased consumption of local seafood, and we ask for the public's interest and participation."
