SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Yonhap) -- BabyMonster will join the fall K-pop scene with the release of its new digital single "DESERVE" at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23.

Yang Hyun-suk, executive producer of YG Entertainment, announced the plan Wednesday in a post published on the agency's official blog.

Describing the new song, Yang said, "Although it is a slow song, it has more intense energy than any song we have released so far." He added that the song "captures the height of emotion by combining BabyMonster's delicate vocals with explosive singing ability," expressing hope that it will deeply move fans.

BabyMonster is currently meeting fans around the world through its second world tour, "CHOOM," which includes 31 concerts in 18 cities.

The group will continue its activities with the release of the new song this month, followed by a new album early next year.

Treasure will make a comeback Nov. 2 with a new digital single, "SHOCK," featuring an intense hip-hop sound.

Yang said, "Treasure is undergoing the biggest change in its musical direction," and asked fans to look forward to and support the group's full-fledged second chapter of activities, which will continue into 2027, beginning with the new song.

Yang also revealed the preparations under way for two new groups -- a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group.

He said he is "also making every effort" for the two teams because they are "very important artists who will lead YG's future together with Treasure and BabyMonster."

He added that the two groups will record demo songs they have been preparing through the end of the year and coordinate specific debut schedules once their title tracks are decided.
