SEOUL, Aug. 19 (Yonhap) -- The Korea International Exhibition & Convention Center (KINTEX) said Wednesday that the "K-Beauty Expo Taiwan 2026," held at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) from Aug. 14-17, wrapped up successfully after drawing a record number of exhibitors and posting its highest-ever export consultation results.

The ninth edition of the exhibition featured 82 companies and 90 booths, making it the largest in the event's history.

Business performance also increased by about 20 percent from a year earlier, with export consultations worth US$35 million and deals worth $11 million in the pipeline.

In particular, a total of 588 consultations were held during one-on-one export meetings organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, raising expectations for further contracts.

During the exhibition, leading Taiwanese broadcasters, including TVBS News, Formosa Television and Eastern Broadcasting Co., Ltd., visited the venue to cover a wide range of products from Korean small and medium-sized companies and the latest K-beauty trends, KINTEX said, demonstrating strong local interest in the event.

Promising companies from across the K-beauty industry also took part in the exhibition, holding active export consultations and concrete contract discussions with major local buyers, including isLeaf, one of Taiwan's three largest distributors.

Kim Deok-woo, a manager at Eden Farm Co., a cosmetics company from Gyeonggi Province that participated in this year's event, said, "Through this exhibition, we were able to hold concrete contract discussions with a major Taiwanese distributor and establish a substantive business relationship."

Lee Min-woo, president of KINTEX, said, "This year's K-Beauty Expo Taiwan was the largest in its history and also achieved its best-ever results in export consultations."

"We will continue to strengthen our global support capabilities so that excellent Korean beauty companies can discover new overseas buyers and generate tangible export results," he added.
